ADVISORY BOARD SPOTLIGHT: Drew D. Jeter

Drew D. Jeter, who leads AECOM’s Global Program Management business, recently joined the CCS Advisory Board. Drew has 36 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry, including leading a wide array of programs, projects, and organizations in engineering, construction, and environmental management; facility and real property development; operations and maintenance; emergency management; and municipal services. He is currently overseeing the AECOM’s deep, global, technical expertise to provide front-end advisory services for large capital programs and to more holistically manage delivery of clients’ programs to achieve their objectives throughout the program lifecycle and achieve overall outcomes.

His program management experience spans numerous market sectors, including rail/transit, aviation, highways, ports, water, buildings, sports venues, smart cities, and disaster recovery. Drew has overseen the global program management practice not only at AECOM, but also at Jacobs, CH2M HILL, and Hill International delivering more than $300 billion in capital infrastructure, program management business development, and career management for program managers. He also served as the Operations Director of both the Water and Facilities & Urban Environments Business Groups at CH2M HILL.

In addition, Drew served as a civil engineering officer in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years, attaining the rank of Colonel. He served as commander of four different organizations, including as base commander of Edwards Air Force Base, California. He is a member of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).

Drew is a University of Florida alumnus, receiving his B.A. in Architecture and was commissioned through the Air Force ROTC program at UF. He also earned masters degrees at Troy University and the National Defense University. He enjoys spending time with his family: wife Mirjam, 9-year-old twins Mark and Seth, and seven adult children—all of whom are big Gator fans.

Drew is excited to bring his leadership and management expertise to the CCS Advisory Board in order to help translate the Center’s great research of Florida’s coastal challenges into implementable solutions.
