Dr. Tracy Fanara is a Coastal Modeling Portfolio Manager for the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the creator of “Inspector Planet.” She previously guest-hosted the Discovery Channel show “Myth-Busters” and served as the Environmental Health Programs Manager for Mote Marine Laboratory. Fanara received her BS, ME, and PhD in Environmental Engineering Sciences at the University of Florida.
Fanara, also known as “Inspector Planet,” is a Staff Scientist and Environmental Health Programs Manager at the Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, FL. She is a marine environmental engineer researching the effects of marine and freshwater chemicals on public health. She is an expert in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and water quality analyses.
She has been a guest host on the Discovery Channel show “Myth-Busters.”
